A new venture for me .. when you can't find it; create it!

Visit ModPodge Design Scraps

Hi my crafty friends,

I finally stepped outside my comfort zone and started a Ning Social Group.  This has been about 3 years in the making. During that time, I had to see if I could actually do the things I wanted to do and do them well.  I would like to invite all my sisters and brothers of color who stamp, card make, scrapbook (traditional, digital and hybrid) stamper, altered artists and altered journalist to join us over at ModPodge Design Scraps.  Our offical launch date is July 9th. We are still a work in progress and we would love to have you join in the journey ...

A little about why.... I started this group because as a woman of the 50's I heard oral stories of our family gatherings, events, etc and maybe we got 1 picture or 2 from an old Kodak or Polaroid, which at best was folded, torn or faded.  When I had children, I painstakingly tried to bring out those old pictures that have now dry rotted.  Today I document all events... there is never a bad picture for me to put in the album or scrap a page with.  I find that the journaling and pictures together, tell a whole story for those coming behind me. When you can't find exactly what you want to do, you create it.

My goal is to help those who are beginners to join me on the path to saving the her-stories and his-tories of their family  and to those who are seasoned professionals, to learn from them and have lots of fun doing it.

Thanks so much for your support and I hope to see you over at ModPodgedesignscraps.com
Oh, btw, I have used ModPodge for almost 20 years..:-)  so in homage to my favorite adhesive... the name, LOL.

Qadirah, the ModPodge Queen.

  2. Ok, I'm an admin on another Ning site, but I am confused. I got an email stating that I need a picture in my profile in order to accepted on the site; however, I can't access anything on the site until my membership is approved. ??
